How to Choose the Right Books for Competitive Exams

Walk into any bookstore in Kolkata's College Street or browse Amazon, and you'll be overwhelmed by thousands of competitive exam books. How do you choose? YouTube is good for concept clarity but lacks structured practice. You need books or coaching material for sufficient question practice. Our recommendation: YouTube for concepts + books/material for practice.

Start with R.S. Aggarwal Quant and R.S. Aggarwal Reasoning. For English, start with Wren & Martin for grammar foundation, then move to S.P. Bakshi.

Physical books are better for focused study (no digital distractions). However, PDFs are convenient for mobile revision. Our students get both physical material and digital access.

Don't buy more than 5-6 core books: 1 Quant, 1 Reasoning, 1 English, 1 GK, 1 Banking (if applicable), and 1 Previous Year Papers book. Quality over quantity.
