IBPS PO 2026/2027 Notification Overview
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially announced the Common Recruitment Process (CRP-PO/MT-XVI) for the recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainees (PO/MT) in Participating Public Sector Banks for the vacancies of 2027-28.

IBPS PO 2026/2027 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling the online application, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the following eligibility conditions:
- Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 30 years as on the date specified in the official notification. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwD: 10 years, etc.).
- Educational Qualification: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India. Candidates appearing in the final year of graduation may apply provisionally subject to fulfilling the condition before the cut-off date.
- Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge of computer systems is essential.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates should be able to read, write, and speak the official language of the State/UT for which they are applying.
Participating Public Sector Banks
The CRP-PO/MT-XVI scores will be used by all participating Public Sector Banks for filling their Probationary Officer / Management Trainee vacancies. Some of the major participating banks include: Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, State Bank of India (Associates), UCO Bank, Union Bank of India, and others as notified by IBPS.
Depending on the actual vacancies to be filled during the financial year 2027-28, candidates will be provisionally allotted to one of the participating banks keeping in view Government reservation policy, administrative exigencies, and merit-cum-preference.
IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2026
The Preliminary Examination is an objective test of 100 marks. It is qualifying in nature and the marks obtained in Prelims will not be counted for final merit listing.
